Mr. A Balasubramanian, Chief Executive Officer - BSLAMC

A Balasubramanian is the Chief Executive Officer for Birla Sun Life Asset Management Company. He has been with BSLAMC since its inception.

He has more than 17 years of experience in the Capital Market. He joined BSLAMC as Chief Dealer/Trader, managed Hybrid Funds and moved on to Head Fixed Income group. He has also held the position of Country Head for Sales and Distribution before becoming the Chief Investment Officer and now also heading BSLAMC as the Chief Executive Officer.

During the last several years, under his leadership, Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund has won several awards for delivering the best performance from external agencies such as CRISIL TV18, BNP Paribas, ICRA and Reuter Lipper. In the financial year 2008-09 with him as the CIO, BSLAMC won the coveted "Mutual Fund House of the Year" second time in a row becoming the only fund house in India to achieve this feat as also being adjudged the best "Onshore Fund House-India" by the Asian Investor magazine.

Prior to joining BSLAMC, he has worked with GIC Mutual Fund as Senior Trader and Canbank Financial Services as Senior Executive.

He has also been associated with Association of Mutual Funds of India as a member across various committees like the Valuation Committee. He also has been part of SEBI Committee on Review of Eligibility Norms.

He has delivered guest lectures at SIES, Mumbai, IIM Bangalore for Executive Education Programme, Dalmia Institute of Management and Narsee Monjee Institute of Management.

Balasubramanian has done DFM and AMP from IIM Bangalore in addition to Bsc in Mathematics.

Mr. Navin Tewari, Head - Sales and Marketing - BSLAMC

Navin Tewari is Head-Sales and Customer Engagement for Birla Sun Life Asset Management Company. He overlooks the Sales and Marketing, Products and Customer Service functions at BSLAMC He has been with the organization since January 2008.

He has over 14 years of experience in Sales & Distribution. Prior to joining BSLAMC, he worked with ICICI Prudential as Jt-head Sales & Distribution for more then 7 Yrs, where he looked after MF & PMS Sales. In the past, he also worked with Aviva Life Insurance Co. (I) Ltd. and Birla Sun Life Distribution Ltd.

He started his career with RRFCL Ltd. where he handled various assignments including MF Sales,Private Placement of Bonds & Equity IPOs in a stint of about three years.

Navin is a Commerce graduate and a qualified Chartered Accountant

Mr. Ashok Suvarna, COO - BSLAMC

Ashok Suvarna is the Chief Operations Officer for Birla Sun Life Asset Management Company. He has been with BSLAMC since February 2008.

In his role he is responsible for drawing out and implementing the Operations & Information Technology strategy across business segments of the Company. Ashok also oversees the Quality Assurance area and is responsible for the Business Continuity Planning of the company.

Ashok comes with an experience of over 16 years of which 15 years have been in the Asset Management industry. He has experience is setting up and managing teams across areas of Operations, Projects and Quality Assurance. Prior to joining Birla Sun Life Asset Management Company, he was Senior Vice President & Head - Operations at ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company Limited, where he was responsible for Operations, Projects & Quality Assurance and was also involved in pan Asia projects of Prudential Funds Management. Before joining ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company Limited, Ashok was associated with SBI Funds Management Pvt. Ltd.

Ashok is an active member of various committees of Association of Mutual Funds of India (AMFI).

He has attended various leadership programs both in India and overseas. He has also attended a program for Project Management Professionals of the Project Management Institute, USA.

Ashok holds a degree in Commerce from Mumbai University and has done his MBA from Institute for Technology and Management, Mumbai.

Mr. Parag Joglekar, Head - Finance and Accounts - BSLAMC

Has over 14 years of experience. He has been promoted from position of Finance Controller and has held various positions in Finance functions of BSLAMC.

Prior to joining BSLAMC, has worked with Strategic Capital Corporation Limited as Head - Financial Administration.

Ms. Rama Vasantharajan - Head-Compliance & Risk Management - BSLAMC

Rama Vasantharajan is Head – Compliance and Risk Management for Birla Sun Life Asset management Company. She has over 20 years of experience. Prior to joining BSLAMC, she was employed as Vice President-Credit & Investment Risk, Aditya Birla Financial Services Group where she was responsible for overseeing the credit and investment risk across the financial service group companies.

She has worked with CRISIL for 18 years in fixed income research and mutual fund research and portfolio performance analysis

Mr. Rajesh Srivastava - Head Human Resources, BSLAMC

Rajesh is Head HR and Admin for Birla Sun Life Asset Management Company. He has an overall experience of around 15 yrs in different areas of HR.

He has been with the Aditya Birla Group for around 10 years. During this period he has worked in different business of the group – Cement, Trading Insurance and Corporate function. Prior to joining BSLAMC, he was Head-HR for Aditya Birla Money and Aditya Birla Money Mart. Prior to that, he was with Group Human Resources of the Aditya Birla Group.

Mr. Kalpesh Teli, Head Business Development - BSLAMC

He has over 10 years of experience. Mr. Kalpesh Teli, Head-Business Development for BSLAMC, has been with company since July 2009.

Prior to joining BSLAMC, he has worked with ICICI Prudential AMC in various capacities as Channel Head Special Group, Branch Head-Thane and handled various functions as part of the marketing team.

He has a proven track record of working on assignments from scratch and scale it up. His areas of expertise include Sales, Channel Management and marketing.

Ms. Molly Kapoor, Head Customer Service - BSLAMC

Molly Kapoor has over 12 yrs of work experience in Client Service & Back Office Operations out of which 10 yrs have been with the MF industry.

She joined Birla Sun Life AMC in Jan 2008 as Head- Customer Service, responsible to create and manage Service platforms for Investors and Channel Partners and manage Quality of Service delivery. Her key achievements are in the area of Branch, Contact Center and Web Service Management. She is also instrumental in bringing to the MF industry some First Time services like - Mobile Portfolio Manager, Mobile Mini Statement, SMS call back service, Web Call back service, etc.

Prior to joining BSLAMC, was at ICICI Prudential AMC as AVP- Customer Service. She held various responsibilities with ICICI Prudential including managing Customer Service Operations at Branches & Contact Center & Managing Service Quality. She was also the Customer Service Lead in setting up the Contact Centre and for CRM redesign and deployment.

She is a Masters in Economics and is also a post-graduate from NMIMS, Mumbai, and is a certified Service Quality Green Belt.

Mr. Rajiv Joshi, Head - Legal, Compliance and Secretarial - BSLAMC

Rajiv Joshi is Head - Legal, Compliance and Secretarial at Birla Sun Life Asset Management Company . He joined the organization in March 2008.

Rajiv joins us with 19 years of experience in Legal, Secretarial and Compliance. Prior to joining Birla Sun Life AMC, he was with HDFC General Insurance Company Limited ,where he was working in the capacity of Company Secretary and Compliance Officer. He has also worked in the Mutual Fund industry during his tenure with Cholamandalam AMC. In addition to his exposure to financial services industry, he has also held assignments in IT sector (Datamatics Technologies Ltd) and Manufacturing (Deepak Nitrite Ltd).

His areas of expertise include Compliance Of Corporate Laws, Mutual Fund Regulations, handling of Public /Rights issues of securities , dealing with regulatory authorities such as DCA, SEBI, Stock Exchange, IRDA, Amalgamation & Mergers and managing computerised share department & investors relationships

Mr. Thrivikram Iyer, Head Risk Management - BSLAMC

Thrivikram K Iyer is Head, Risk Management for Birla Sun Life Asset Management Company and has been with the company since July 2009.

Thrivikram is a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant. He has also completed a certifcation in Oracle Financials Applications from Oracle Education. He has over 13 years experience in areas of risk management, consulting and audits and has worked with various leading organisations like JPMorgan Asset Management, ICICI Prudential Asset Mananagement, SBI Mutual Funds Private Limited, Credit Lyonnais Bank.

Some of his accomplishments include the successful implementation of the requirements of the Sarbanes Oxley Act, process re-engineering, implementation and training of industry specific software solutions in the Middle East.

Mr. Maneesh Dangi - Co-Chief Investment Officer

Maneesh has over 10 years of experience in Finance & Research. Prior to joining BSLAMC he worked with Pioneer Investcorp as a head of fixed-income investment consultancy and merchant banking division.

Mr. Mahesh Patil - Co-Chief Investment Officer

Mahesh has over 20 years of experience in fund management, equity research and corporate finance. Prior to joining BSLAMC, he has worked with Reliance Infocom Ltd. in Business Strategy.

Mr. Satyabrata Mohanty - Head - Mixed Assets

Satyabrata has over 12 years of experience in Finance and Research. He has handled responsibilities across Fund Management, Trading and Credit Research functions. Prior to joining BSLAMC, he has worked with Aditya Birla Management Corporation Ltd.
